About the Author
Devashish Chakraborty has more than 30 years of teaching experience in renowned CBSE Schools. His journey for excellence began at Microchip Computer System, followed by Computer Society of India and then witnessed by St. Joseph's School - North Point Darjeeling, Army Public School - Bengdubi and Good Start Academy - Mungpo.
Currently he is the Head of the Department of Computer Science at Delhi Public School - Siliguri.
The book is divided into 3 parts, where each part is divided into the following units:
PART I: It relates to Basics of Information Technology (deals with design and overview of communication technology), Cyber Safety (deals with safely browsing the web, social networking sites and chat sites), office Tools (using Office Tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Scratch and Python Programming.
PART II: Practical oriented segment that deals with assignments for students to experience the concepts on the computer, the Lab Exercises. It also contains Sample Reports and Projects to help students do new projects and reports. The Viva Questionnaire provides a generalised series of questions.
PART III: Exhaustive chapter wise question bank for last minute preparation. It contains both solved and unsolved papers as per the Board examination pattern.
